Students discover the English language through guided reading using extensive and intensive reading methods that make learning more challenging and exciting.

Classes

Small and intimate classes allow our students to engage in active class discussions and encourage creativity. Continual learning through reading, grammar, writing and speaking replaces fear with confidence in each student. We promote student self-learning and lifetime learning habits.

Reading Foundation

  • 1 hour 20 minutes

  • Twice a week

  • 24 classes in three months

Our comprehensive reading program is highly effective in grammar, phonic decoding, and vocabulary. Through intensive reading of fiction and nonfiction stories in the classroom, students gain fluency, critical thinking, and response techniques. Students gain confidence in reading, writing, and speaking.

Book Club

  • 1 hour 50 minutes or 2 hours

  • Once a week

  • 12 classes in three months

Our fun, interactive Book Club promotes a lifelong appreciation for reading and learning. Through intensive reading of award-winning novels, students learn pre-reading strategies, reading comprehension, and organizational skills. In addition to vocabulary, writing and speaking, students develop a deep connection and knowledge of the world around them.

World History Novel Class

  • 2 hours

  • Twice a week

  • 24 classes in three months

Through award-winning, narrative history novels, world history transforms into an engaging and fun topic. Students will learn about historical events and geography, while gaining reading comprehension, vocabulary, and writing.
